Did you know that Green Bank is a Mon Forest Town? Several small towns located within the Monongahela National Forest are great locations for accessing a variety of recreational activities, from hiking and biking trails, to camping.
Green Bank has been featured in the Mon Forest Towns website with a guide to biking on site. Read the full story here.
The Green Bank Observatory has a variety of trails for walking, hiking, and biking. Some of these trails follow easy, paved roads that give us access to our scientific instruments, including the Green Bank Telescope. Others follow turf, forest roads, and gravel. There are also a few more rugged, steep, singletrack trails located on the property.
See our walking and trail guide here.
