Please join us for the 59th Annual Jansky Lecture at the Green Bank Observatory!  The National Radio Astronomy Observatory is pleased to award the 2024 Karl G. Jansky Lectureship to Dr. Ken Kellermann, Senior Scientist, Emeritus at the NRAO. 

With a career spanning more than a half-century of research, Dr. Kellerman will offer a retrospective on how radio astronomers opened a new window on the universe, leading to the discovery of quasars, pulsars, radio galaxies, the cosmic microwave background, violent electrical storms on Jupiter, and many other unexpected cosmic phenomena.  

Wednesday, December 4th, at 7PM in the Green Bank Science Center Auditorium. 

FREE! No registration required. A light reception will follow the lecture.
