Green Bank Science Talks


Colloquia

Green Bank Observatory colloquia are held in the Jansky Auditorium in Green Bank, WV. These are more formal scientific talks, with 40 minutes of a presentation followed by questions. They are generally scheduled on Wednesdays at 2 pm ET. We have a wide-variety of backgrounds for colloquia attendees, All are welcome in-person or via Zoom. Science Lunches

Science Lunches are held on Thursdays at 12:15 pm ET in the Drake Lounge at the Green Bank Observatory. Science lunches have a greater focus on discussion, typically with 15 minutes of a presentation followed by discussion with the speaker. Community Webinars

Join us every other week for bite-sized talks about new Green Bank Telescope research! We meet every other Wednesday at 1 pm ET, starting the webinar with up-to-date news and information about Green Bank operations. Next, we have a member of our observing community lead a 15-minute talk on their recent research, and we finish by 1:30 pm ET.
