FREE Site Tours at Family Science Day

Sunday, September 8th, 1-5pm

Green Bank Observatory Science Center, Green Bank, West Virginia

Got the back to school blues? Shake it off with a free day of family fun at the Green Bank Observatory!

On Sunday, September 8th the Science Center will be offering free site tours. Hop on a bus and enjoy a round trip to the enormous Green Bank Telescope, the world’s largest steerable radio telescope, seeing our seven other radio telescopes on the way!

Try your hand at some extreme science. Make an impact crater, and build and launch a rocket! View the Science Center exhibits, build a moon rover, and more. The Green Bank Observatory is a national leader in STEM education. Your family’s visit might inspire the career of tomorrow’s scientists, engineers, and astronauts! All that fun will make you hungry, so grab a bite to eat from the special menu at the Starlight Café.

The Science Center is open year round, with seasonal changes in hours, and offers guided tours to groups of all ages, and overnight programs. Find more information at greenbankobservatory.org/education.
