The Green Bank Science Center is excited to host the 2026 Pocahontas County Science and Engineering Fair! The county fair serves as an entry-point for the Regional Science Fair, which will be held in Greenbrier County, date TBD.
Pocahontas County Fair Information:
Date & Time: Tuesday January 27th, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. (Backup weather date: Wednesday January 28th. Second backup weather date: Tuesday January 29th.)
Where: Green Bank Observatory Science Center
Forms – The following forms should be brought by the student and be placed with the project for the day of the county fair:
Elementary (3-5) Projects:
- Elementary Abstract (Bring to fair and display at project.)
- Elementary Vertebrate and Human Research Form (For Animal Science projects, if applicable, bring to fair and have available, but not on display, at project)
- Elementary and Middle Human Informed Consent Form (For Behavioral & Social Science projects, if applicable, bring to fair and have available, but not on display, at the project)
Middle School (6-8) Projects:
- Middle Abstract (Bring to fair and display at the project.)
- Middle School Research Plan (Bring to fair and have available at project.)
- Middle Vertebrate and Human Research Form (For Animal Science projects, if applicable, bring to fair and have available, but not on display, at the project)
- Elementary and Middle Human Informed Consent Form (For Behavioral & Social Science projects,, if applicable, bring to fair and have available, but not on display, at the project.)
