Burn off that Thanksgiving Feast by completing a 5K ,10K race or 1K Gobble Wobble for kids 8 and under and parents!!!
We will offer in in person race on November 29 AND a virtual race for all you trotters who live far away or prefer this option!
Like last year, onsite registration will begin at noon on Saturday the 29th. Onsite registration and check in will be at the Science Center (first building on the left). This year, races start at 1 PM with the 10K, followed by the Gobble Wobble at 1:15 PM, and the 5K at 1:30 PM
You will register on Runreg.com. If selecting the virtual option, you will have 28 days to complete your “race” where-ever you are. If you want to run the race at the Green Bank Observatory, please do. The site is open to runners and walkers, just turn your cell phone off!
As always, your participation in the Green Bank Turkey Trot supports the Pocahontas County High School track team and the William Dilley Scholarship, and we thank you so much for your support!

Early-bird: Discounted fees ($25 for 5K and 10K, $18 for Gobble Wobble) until 11:59 PM on November 21, 2025! Sign up by November 21, 2024 to be guaranteed a t-shirt!
After Early-bird deadline, register online until November 28, 2025 or at the door on the day of the event:
- 5 K and 10K Fees: $30.00
- Gobble Wobble Fees: $22.00
- This year, we ask for a $10 mailing fee for virtual trotters– just one fee per address to cover mailing costs!
