The week before the proposal deadline, Green Bank Observatory staff are hosting a series of virtual office hours via Zoom. Proposers can attend to ask questions about and get help with the technical aspects their proposals. We note that staff cannot advise you on the scientific aspects of your proposal or read your proposal and give comments, but can help with the technical aspects of your proposal.

Please register below for the office hour of your choice. After you register you will be sent and email that contains the connection information (Zoom link). All times listed below are in US Eastern Time. We ask that you sign-up for these office hours at least 24 hours in advance. If no one is signed up for an office hour at 24 hours before the office hour, it will be canceled.
Office Hours
#1: Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 – 9:00-10:00 ET
- Staff area of expertise during office hour #1: Ka, Ku, and KFPA observing, spectral line observations, radar, VLBI, and pulsar observing. But questions on all receivers and frequencies can be asked.
#2: Thursday, January 25th, 2024 – 16:00-17:00 ET
- Staff area of expertise during office hour #2: low frequency receivers (below 10 GHz), VLBI and pulsar observing. But questions on all receivers and frequencies can be asked.
If you cannot make these office hours or would generally like help with the technical aspects of your proposal, please feel free to contact the helpdesk (https://help.nrao.edu/ [4]) with your questions. You can either iterate with staff via email on your questions or request a zoom meeting with a staff member to discuss your questions. Please send your technical questions at least one week in advance of the proposal deadline to give staff enough time to answer your question.
