The Green Bank Observatory strives to be welcoming to everyone. However, because of certain buildings’ historical designations, as well as restrictions due to the National Radio Quiet Zone, the site may provide some obstacles to those with mobility issues. For example, because of radio interference concerns, Green Bank Observatory buildings do not have doors that open automatically, or with a button press. See below for details about specific locations, tours, events, and programs. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Green Bank Science Center: Accessible, but no automatic doors. Staff will be happy to assist with entering/exiting.
  • Exhibit Hall: Inside Science Center. Fully accessible.
