DESCRIPTION:\nEnjoy views of West Virginia’s beautiful night sky!\n\n\n\nThis month our Star Party will be offered as part of the Space Race Rumpus – a weekend of family-friendly cycling events. If weather allows, Observatory staff will be available with optical telescopes. This month, we’ll be at the old tour center, NOT the Science Center. Follow signs for the rumpus.\n\n\n\nThe Star Party is free, but if you’d like to come early for dinner and live music, you can register on the Rumpus website at https://www.spaceracerumpus.org/\n\n\n\nMonthly star parties generally start 30-45 minutes after sunset – check the events calendar each month for specific start times. Observing will last for up to 2 hrs if the skies are clear, but please arrive within the first hour.\n\n\n\nThe star party will be cancelled if clouds or rain prevail.
